A member asked:

Can thyroid problems make it so your fingers and feet are numb and tingly?

Definitely: Sometimes those symptoms will improve when you get your thyroid back in balance, but talk it over with your doctor, since there are many other causes of peripheral neuropathy (numb fingers and feet) including diabetes, alcohol, and problems in the neck or back. Good luck!

Tingling: Numbness and tingling in the extremities can be caused by many things, nutritional deficiencies such as vitamin d and B12 - diabetes and high blood sugars, nerve damage and issues, poor circulation. And yes thyroid you should see your pcp for an evaluation of the cause.
