Have over pronation and use orthotics. heel counter in shoe should fit so heel does not ride up & down. subjective as to how much motion is ok?

The heel: The heel part of the orthoses should not move. The heel moves slightly within the heel, but the heel part of the orthotic device should remain stationary, also, look for an orthotic with flexibility in the arch but not very flexible. A foot expert should be able to critique the orthoses when viewing it up close and personal.
