Current medications : Other than the ones your surgeon already prescribed, the nsaids you are taking are usually the recommended otc meds after the global post-operative period. Hope that helps.

Only a few...: We recommend a NSAID such as aleve twice a day with meals, as well as tylenol (acetaminophen) 500mg every 4 hours. Whereas these medications are not nearly as effective as narcotics, for those with nausea problems this regimen may suffice.

Analgesic medication: Over the counter medications that may help after a tka include Acetaminophen (tylenol), ibuprofen, naproxen, and aspirin. Meditation and music may help you to focus your brain on other things while your knee recovers. Tylenol (acetaminophen) pm may help you sleep a little better. After the first few weeks, heat may help with the aching at rest, while ice may still be used after exercises.
