What calculation: Was made to determine this. Most of the lab tests and calculations are not meaningful for anyone under the age of 21. If you do not have difficulty with urination and no other symptoms, it seems unlikely you'd have a problem. If you are not sure, or have sue symptoms that could be kidney failure - go see a nephrologist to be tested.

You are FINE: Dr. Hoffman is correct. Serum creatinine rises with increasing muscularity; when i was lifting weights daily in my 30s, i ran 1.5 or 1.6. The subscientific fad for estimating a GFR with every serum creatinine gives results that make every well-muscled man think he has kidney disease -- and the test estimates your muscularity by your race (!), not by looking at you. Stop worrying and enjoy life.
