No: Most cases of hypothyroidism are not autoimmune. Genetic link has not been identified.

Possible: There are autoimmune causes of hypothyroidism. Having an autoimmune disease (e.g. Ms, lupus, hashimoto's thyroiditis) does increase your risk of having other autoimmune disorders.
