limited risk: It is true that people with 1 autoimunne disease are somewhat more at risk than the general population to develop another, but tha absolute risk is small, & there is evedence to suggest that keeping thyroid disease controlled may reduce further risk. It's important to see your doctor regularly & take your med correctly. Also, tendency to autoimmunity runs in families, so don't hide the problem.
