Back pain: Primary care physicians are trained to evaluate and treat many back pain issues. With specific history, changes on exam, or abnormal ct or mri, you may be referred for surgical opinion, for physical therapy, or be given more simple treatments, medication , muscle relaxants, and self heat/cold/stretching treatments at home.
