Maybe related: The numbness, although there are other possible causes, is most likely due to the bunions. A small nerve that supplies sensation to parts of the big toe runs right over the " bunion", this may get compressed when you wear a shoe and result in a numb feeling in the toe. You may consider a wider, softer shoe or possibly it's time to have the bunions corrected.

Unusual: Numbness associated with bunions is unusual. If they're numb that means they are not hurting. That is good. Are they hurting? If you are convinced there is numbness associated with your bunions, that means your shoes are pressing on the bone and compressing the proper digital branch to the big toe. Seek conservative or surgical options with your local area podiatrist.
