Depends on cause.: Male/female hereditary or 'pattern' hair loss can be managed with Rx meds (minoxidil 82M, finasteride), PRP, lasers (LaserCap) & hair transplants (FUE NeoGraft). Alopecia Areata Totalis or Universalis has a different, autoimmune mechanism that makes it more difficult to treat. However, a new report regarding Xeljanz/Tofacitinib reversing alopecia universalis has the hair loss community a-buzz.
