Sometimes none: You may not have any outward symptoms (pain, redness, swelling), but a lesion that does not heal after two weeks should be examined and evaluated. You may not even be able to see every nook and cranny in your mouth, so that is why it is best to have your dentist take a look.

Non healing ulcer: A non healing ulcerated lesion with a crusty border and sometimes foul taste and odor are some findings. If the tumor is advanced, speech problems and difficulty in swallowing may also be present. Evaluation of any suspicious lesion and possible biopsy if indicated would be recommended.
