A member asked:

Would it be common to feel depressed after high school graduation?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It can: It can be for some individuals. This is a major life event and a time of change. Teens are now an "adult" and have to face new responsibilities and challenges. As the parent, we are worried for them and still want to protect them. If the teen goes off to college or moves out, then we are faced with an "empty nest ". These changes can be difficult, but one can adapt, learn and grow stronger from it.
