Are there any good ways to prevent my asthma from acting up so frequently while still on my regular medication?

Many ways: Often asthmatics have allergies which can trigger an attack. By reducing your exposure to them you can reduce the number and severity of the attack. Animal dander, dust mites, pollution, pollen and many other things we breathe in daily can be triggers. If you are having frequent attacks you should be on a "controller" inhaler as well as your rescue type.
