Throat cancer: In the United States, 14, 290 new cases of throat cancer are reported a year. For both men and women. The death rate for them was about 1.3 per 100, 000 people in a population. The odds of hpv-positive throat cancer doubled in individuals who reported between 1 and 5 lifetime oral sexual partners. The risk increased five-fold in those patients with 6 or more oral sexual partners. Males have more risk.
