Need to repeat test: Loght bleeding during pregnancy doesn't necessarily mean a miscarriage, but it could. A pregnancy test can stay positive for a few days after a miscarriage. A doctor can perform a quantitative HCG test. This is a pregnancy test that has a number. If the number goes up by a certain amount when the test is repeated, you are still pregnant, but if it goes down, then there has been a miscarriage.
