No- not really: By definition, the symptoms of a TIA, or transient ischemic attack, last less than 24 hours. A stroke may cause symptoms that last longer. Either we do not agree what a TIA is or there is another cause to the symptoms you speak of. Feel free to ask another question. Hope that helps!

No, by definition: the symptoms of TIA resolve within 24 hours. If you have had symptoms for 5 months, it is not due to a TIA. You may have had a stroke. Talk to your neurologist.
