Can the sun clear acne?

No: One more myth, and a cruel one. Sun exposure damages the skin and probably won't do much for the acne. We have scientific rx's for acne that work remarkably well and in the 21st century, it's inexcusable not to make these available to a young person with this serious disease.

Acne : While sunlight may improve acne to some degree , the risks of sun exposure causing aging skin and skin cancer outweigh any benefits . A dermatologist can prescribe effective acne medications.

Yes: Most people notice improved acne in summer. A burn is not needed & may be harmful.
