A member asked:

What to do if i have a white coating on my tongue and my mouth is dry alot.. why is this, can someone help?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Brush your tongue: The white coating is food and bacterial debris building up on your tongue. Try brushing it or using a tongue scraper. Drinking lots of water, using biotene gel and toothpaste, chewing sugarless or xylitol gum, and avoid rinsing with mouthwashes that contain alcohol are some things that can help a dry mouth feel better.
