Yes, maybe: It may take up to 6 weeks for the uterus to return to its original size. As long as there is no bleeding or pain, it is normal for the uterus to be enlarged and firm. It is best to be examined by your OB to make sure the uterus is appropriate size for this stage of the post partum period.
