Don't eat !: Whether your pH test involves placement on your esophagus of a bravo pH probe or passage of a impedance pH probe into your esophagus it is important to follow your doctor's pre-procedure prep instructions. Generally, the tests are done on an empty stomach. Your doctor may ask you to take your acid-blocker drugs as usual, or he/she may want the test performed without such drugs in your system.
