GERD: That is the definitive diagnostic tool to check for LPR. If you are concerned, then talk to your doctor. There is no reason to worry and if you don't tolerate it, it cab be removed without any difficulty or discomfort.

Relax: Ph probes used for esophageal pH monitoring are usually 6 Fr or the equivalent of about 2 mm outer diameter or 0.08 inches. This is very small.
