How can it be that my ankle clicks when i point my toes or rotate it?

Snap crackle pop: This is usually a tendon sliding over a boney prominence. Most of these "snap, crackles and pops" are of no medical importance as long as they do not cause pain. However, if you constantly "snap" a tendon you can cause irritation of the tendon sheath, leading to tenderness.
