A member asked:

Hoping you can tell me, is 2-hour-postprandial blood-sugar of above 120 okay or not?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hard to judge: A post prandial blood sugar is hard to evaluate, since it depends on what you ate, how fast, glycemic index, how fast your GI tract digests, etc. This is why diabetologists prefer to follow fasting and pre-meal glu values. If you are worried about diabetes, have your doctor check a fasting glucose and a1c.
