Ibuprofen: Take two advil (ibuprofen) every four hours whether it hurts or not. You could also supplement it with the pain pills if provided. After a few days, you should be better, but it sometimes just takes a while. Hang in there., .

Pain meds: If you cannot reach your surgeon for pain meds, do the following: take two Ibuprofen tabs, three hours later take two acetominophen and three hours later repeat the cycle.
