Can drinking too much beer make you hypoglycemic or diabetic?

Hypoglycemia: Alcohol-induced hypoglycemia can occur in anyone, particularly in those with diabetes. However, independent of alcohol-induced pancreatitis, i'm not aware of beer as a primary cause of diabetes.
