Would it be a problem to pop your ears if you have a ruptured ear drum?

Yes: Popping your ears causes air to enter the middle ear space through the eustacian tube. If you have a ruptured ear drum, the pressure generated by this will be less because the air will escape via the hole in the ear drum.
