MUSCLE TENSION: A headache can originate from the base of the head. It is a common area for injury (e.g., whiplash) that results in ligament and/or tendon weakness. Muscles compensate for weakness by spasm which, in turn, irritates the occipital nerve, causing pain anywhere from the neck into the eye. Trigger point and/or prolotherapy injections can help here. Homeopathic spigelia or mortin 800 mg may help, too.
