Allergy: Once you know you are allergic to any medication, food, or substance, the most important thing you can do is stay away from what you are allergic to. If you have a reaction to an over the counter medication, get an antihistamine to reduce the itching and the rash.

Avoidance: Avoid that medication in the future. I would still discuss this with your doctor since it may be something other than an allergy.
