The : The best ways to treat a cough are: -drink plenty of fluids -keep a glass of water by your bed at night -use a humidifier if the air is dry -eat a spoonful of honey, or drink apple juice, or chicken broth to help with any "coughing jags" -research shows that these methods are as effective as over the counter cough medicines. If you experience any respiratory distress, you need immediate medical attention. The signs of respiratory distress are: -rapid breathing (more than 60 times a minute) -grunting or gasping with breathing -flaring of the nostrils -working hard and using extra muscles to breathe such as sucking in at the neck or under the rib cage -blue or dusky coloring -change in speech or level of alertness.

Cough : Try a saline nasal spray but if you are out of breath you should go to an urgent care clinic as this may be asthma.
