Information: What you see is what is left over from the procedure. The entire mole should be removed. Generally it is usually possible to tell a good mole from a bad one, but not always. Many authorities believe that mole removal should always be complete. Gemerally a shave biopsy does not remove the deep layers. Treatment and prognosis of melanoma depend on precise thickness measurement.
