See below: There are many causes of low back pain, and they are best determined by an examination of the patient. An evaluation by your primary care doctor is probably a good place to start. Back pain related to the menstrual cycle can be seen in patients with a retroverted uterus (normal variant where the uterus is positioned angled toward the back) and sometimes in patients with endometriosis.
