C. Diff: Not associated with bleeding. Mostly diarrhea . High plts also not common in c. Diff. Mostly treated with antibiotics. Unless you have ulcerative colitis ? But why at 75? Usually caron's colitis can present in older as well as younger population . So. Get things straight with your gastroenterologist.
