Not known.: Very little is known about vitamin d3 and pd; & what is known suggests that only some might benefit depending on their genes. Vitamin d deficiency should be treated per se. Why are you so hot for untried/unproved remedies? You're not doing your aunt a service with your random unsystematic approach. She'll benefit most from an informed collaborative partnership with her doctor assisted by you.

5000-8000 iu/day: Most adults need 5-8, 000 iu of vit d3 a day to achieve optimal levels. There's evidence vit d may help slow progression of parkinson's for a significant proportion of those with pd & it has other benefits.
