They may also give you an oral antibiotic to cover staphylococcus aureus and pseudomonas bacterial infection if needed. Once it heals, biafine emulsion or scarguard may be helpful in minimizing scarring.

PIH after trauma: Dark skin especially can get darker after trauma, called post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. A bleaching agent can help. Sun exposure may make it darker, so be careful.

Information: If there is no blster, the burn may 1st degree. The color is the inflammatory reacion the the burn. First degree burn is like sunburn and usually heals with minimal scar. Anthing greater may scar. Topical pressure with or without silicone or cortisone cream may help. Some otc products may also help.
