Is arthritis pain felt only in joints? my mid arm aches

Not always: Arthritis pain can sometimes be felt in areas remote from the affected joint. Treatment of the arthritis should improve this pain. If not, other diagnoses such as fracture or tendinitis should be considered.

Arthritis: By definition, arthritis is a condition that affects joints only. There can be other symptoms associated with arthritis such as referred pain, swelling, and warmth, but the term "arthritis" is for joints.
