Facet Pain: Facet pain is pain originating from a joint in the vertebral column. It is arthritis of the joint in simple terms. Exercise is very helpful and if not then blocks can be performed to identify and confirm this as the pain generator.

Facet or MS: I see you listed transverse myelitis as a condition that sometimes can be a source of back pain from the spine. The facets could cause pain, but at your age 18yo unless you are a gymnast or have history of trauma (fall/car accident) rare to have significant facet issues. However if you do not get better with pt, consider a facet jt injection or medial branch block to evaluate this issue.
