I have been taking 3 200mg pills of advil (ibuprofen) two or three times a day since wednesday morning ( i have herpangina/glossitis) on a completely empty stomach, i've only had ice cream. should i worry?

Avoid taking more: Normal advil (ibuprofen) dose is no more than 6 tablets in 24 hours. You need to follow the direction because it might affect your renal function.

No: An adult taking 1000-2000 mg of Ibuprofen daily for a couple of days is not a huge deal. It is not going to cause any big problems. Yes, you may develop a little GI irritation, but the ice cream has helped. It hopefully gave you some pain relief and that is what was important during a bout of herpangina. Try some other soft cold foods such as yogurt, try to get a little protein with soft eggs.

No: You are not taking too much advil (ibuprofen) at this time so don't worry about this. The ice cream ian's other cold, bland foods are good for you to eat. Remember to wash your hand frequently since you have a contagious viral disease.
