Allergy shots: Patients with uncontrolled asthma are at somewhat higher risk of systemic reactions to allergy shots. Once asthma is controlled with medications most asthmatics are able to receive allergy shots without difficulty assuming that they are closely monitored. Since allergy injections lessen allergic sensitivity over time most allergic asthmatics will see improvement in their condition.

Avoid: Risks include death from a severe asthma attack. Your treatment should be optimized with inhalers and oral medications first. For next time, you can get a blood test that checks for allergies. No need to risk any reactions.
