Work with doctor: I'm not sure what tissue was torn, but it it's inside your knee it could be a meniscus and need surgical consult and treatment. If your doctor is not an orthopedic surgeon, i hope s/he gave you some referrals so that your injury can be evaluated by one. If your doctor didn't automatically provide referrals, please ask again for some in your own community!
