A member asked:

How often is it ok to take a t3 (liothyronine) in aday. and how long is recommended?

Depends: I'd be careful with taking T3 (liothyronine) more than recommended by your doctor. Taking it more often (or longer) than recommended can cause heart palpitations, tremors, anxiety, fast heart beat.

Only as prescribed: T3 (liothyronine) is a form of thyroid hormone, and it has to be followed carefully so that you don't get too much or too little. Your prescribing physician is the best one to ask about this, not doctors who don't know you or your situation, physical examination, or labs. Your doctor will be checking your response to this hormone via your symptoms, physical exam, and laboratory measurements.
