PAH and HELLP=danger: Not sure of a causal link, but if a patient with pah becomes pregnant, there is a 30-50% chance of death. There was an abstract published last year on a case of pah and hellp, resulting in emergency fetal termination, and heart/lung transplantation of the mom.
