Eventually: Lupus is a condition in which the body's immune system runs excessively and attacks itself. Current treatment can attenuate this sometimes quite effectively and the major long term problems with this disease are much less common. A cure is not yet available, but a breakthrough in this whole class of diseases is overdue. Stay tuned.
