Yes you are fine.: Breast feeding women can have periods even when breast feeding full time. They will typically be irregular though and you should be using some form of birth control as you can become pregnant. You are correct that many women will not have periods but some will.

Totally normal!: Good question! yes, it is totally normal and you are right on time. Periods usually start back up around 5-6 months after deliver if you are breast feeding! remember to use birth control that is safe with breast feeding - you can get pregnant while breast feeding - eek~! congrats on breast feeding your baby - it is the best thing you can do for both of you! feed for 1 year and 2 if you can!
