A member asked:

Do patients w/ pressurized speech and high energy ever report that othe people avoid them because they make them feel uncomfortable?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes.: Pressured, rapid speech and unlimited energy may be symptoms of bipolar disorder (also called manic depressive illness). When manic (energized), a person may experience a need for little sleep, delusions, unusual spending, a greater sexual appetite, a "short fuse, " and a sense of being all-powerful. It's not comfortable to witness this, and it's not comfortable to live it. Medications do help.
