Lyme rash: The bull's eye rash in lyme disease is seen in 85% of patients. Not everybody who has a tick bite needs to be treated with antibiotics. This issue should be discussed with the baby's pediatrician.

Lyme disease: About 30% of people who get lyme disease do not have the bull's eye rash. If you still have the tick, take it to your doctor. He/she can send it to the lab to find out what tick it is. Deer tick females are the ones that carry lyme disease. Babies do get treated for lyme disease. Please see your pediatrician or a pediatric infectious disease specialist.
