No set limit but...: The vast majority of cholesterol in our body is produced by our liver because it is essential for our health. Dr. Atkins and others found that eating a very high cholesterol diet does not raise our cholesterol levels all that much. Triglycerides largely don't come from diet but are produced when we eat sugar & starches. Minimizing sugar & starch intake is more beneficial than limiting cholesterol!
