Peds Endo: A good general pediatrician can handle most aspects of t1dm, but a periodic visit with a peds endocrinologist may be a good idea. You may have to travel to chicago, madison, etc. Lots of universities in these cities.

Ped endocrinologist: Please get a referral from the pediatrician for a pediatric endocrinologist to help manage your child's diabetes. The american academy of pediatrics can help you locate one in rockford or nearby.
