See a dentist: As long as you are not allergic to Ibuprofen or tylenol, (acetaminophen) you are ok. Here is what i recommend: take 800mg of Ibuprofen (4 200mg tablets), then 3 hours later take 1000mg Acetaminophen (2 extra-strength tylenol), then 3 hours later 800mg ibuprofen, then 3 hours later 1000mg tylenol, (acetaminophen) and continue this regimen until you are seen, but no longer than 10 days. Go see a dentist asap.

See oral surgeon : Assuming you don't have any other health concerns, if you take 800mg you can take another dose in 6 hours. You can also take 650mg tylenol (acetaminophen) in between. However, if you need this kind of pain medication, you may have an infection or other issues that necessitate wisdom teeth removal. You should seek a consultation with an oral surgeon asap.

Med Doses: Please read the max 24 hour dosing on the packaging for each med you are taking. The max dose on Ibuprofen would be 3200mg in 24 hours (800mg every 6 hours for instance). Acetaminophen ceiling is 4 grams. This is also dependent on normal healthy hepatic and renal function. Please consult an oral and maxillofacial surgeon right away. An antibiotic may be added to your pain regimen and narcotic.

See dentist ASAP: When wisdom teeth cause problems, they need to come out. If you are experiencing pain, swollen gums, lymph nodes and it does not go away or if you find it difficult to open your mouth, you should see a dentist for evaluation, x-ray and wisdom teeth removal.
