Seizures: If you have a documented seizure disorder, i would not recommend stopping any of your prescribed anti-seizure medications without first consulting with a neurologist. Seizures are serious business so always follow your neurologist's instructions.

Why on Xanax (alprazolam)?: For sure, stopping xanax (alprazolam) suddenly can cause seizures -- so please don't do that. There's no "natural" way to stop them if they start; you'll need medical attention. The best way is to taper the medicine very gradually -- and work with your physician in doing this. Also you & your doctor would want to be sure that whatever conditions made xanax (alprazolam) be prescribed, are in remission or at least stable.
