Yes: You can become allergic to any protein at any time - food, natural fabrics, certain organic chemicals, or environmental proteins (e.g. Pollen). If you do or have symptoms suspicious for allergy, eliminate the exposure and see if the symptoms resolve. If so, you may be allergic. This can be treated by an allergist.

You should not worry: Developing an allergy to something is a rare event and not nearly as common as you might think. Just because you eat something (like honey) frequently does not mean you are at higher risk of getting an allergy to that product. You are much more likely to develop an allergy to a medication, although this is also very rare.

Possible but rare: It is possible to develop allergies to any food containing proteins. Honey is a complex mixture of carbohydrates but does have some proteins in it including defensins, which help preserve it naturally. If you develop allergies to a food, symptoms are usually itching and hives or welts. If it is severe, tongue and lip swelling can be seen. Consult an allergist for testing if concerned.

Unlikely: One can become allergic to just about anything at anytime although the incidence of this is low. You should have no particular concern about honey.
