Why would my mother's glaucoma dr tell me i may have problems controlling my glaucoma because my mother does?

Not reasonable: Most glaucoma control is due to the personality of the person with the condition. Your mother may have been a somewhat non-compliant person and of course y0u are much more likely to follow the instructions to prevent damage from this condition.

Genetics: There is clear evidence that you are more likely to develop glaucoma if a parent also had the problem.
